Hakiem Yahmadi, Founder & CEO

Hakiem A. Yahmadi, Black American father of six is a family man who loves his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grands. He enjoys fishing, outdoor sports, old school music and is known as the Fisher of Men.  Hakiem is a graduate of Metropolitan College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management & Business Continuity.

Hakiem is the CEO and Founder of my Men’s Support Group: Men You Are Not Alone, working as an advocate for men dealing with trauma, substance abuse, grief, homelessness, and victims of a violent crimes. He can speak with first-hand knowledge of the trauma inflicted upon families in our community and particularly men, as he himself suffered the tragic loss of a son through gun violence.  This life changing event has put him in on a course to try to effect the changes needed to reduce gun violence and help those affected by it.

Presently, he is on Community Board 1, and a member of various board committees including Muncipal Services and is the chair of the Youth and Education Committee. Hakiem is a Member of the Community Education Council 7 and an advocate in the South Bronx fighting against Gun Violence, Mental Health, and Trauma.
